This is a thread about people and their vehicles that do not seem to Get It.

Why do people have to be so stoopid and leave their engines running while pumping gasoline? Start your vehicle up at home and let it warm up first. I do not want to smell your exhaust or be apart of your death(and mine) when your vehicle backfires.

Same goes for people that jump back into their vehicle to stay warm...this causes static electricity...meaning...BOOM.

When the snow flies it builds up on your vehicle. While you are runing your engine at home/work/whatever to warm up the engine(Which by the way..is GOOD for the engine), then clean off the snow. Nothing annoys me more then not being able to see someone's tail-lights because they were too lazy to clean off their car. What happens? I end up rear-ending you then the snow falls off....then I get a ticket...because the evidence is GONE. Also that extra snow on your vehicle causes a mini blizzard for other vehicles behind you.

When you are on the Freeway/Expressway/Motorway/whatever your area of the world calls it....the LEFT lane(RIGHT in England and other countries) is the FAST lane....another name is the Hammer Lane. Stay out of it unless you are planning to Go Fast NOW! Otherwise, if someone comes up behind you...MOVE over. This goes especially for people on their CELL PHONES...get out of the way. Better yet..Hang up and DRIVE your vehicle!

Truckers! Why do truckers feel the need to pull out in front of me when they can see me coming on pretty darn fast with no one behind me? Can not truckers wait until the person passes them? THEN they can pull out and slow down the rest of the world to 40-50 miles per hour. This seems to happen to me every stinkin' day....to top it off...they are passing another truck on an incline(hill). This slows them all down to the same speed. I have waited behind these guys for over 10 miles. they don't just pull out...they SWING their rig right when I am on top on them...forcing me to slam on the brakes.

I honestly get so annoyed that people get away with MURDER clogging up the roads just to use their goddamn cellphone even when driving! And lorrys are so much trouble, as you mentioned earlier, the only way to pass them is to overtake them without making an accident on the road...

One of my pet hates is rubbernecking; cars slowing down near a road traffic accident scene just to be nosy. There should be a minimum speed limit around accident sites...

Favorite scenario: Cop has pulled someone over to the shoulder of the road. No hazzard to the driving lanes but EVERYONE slows down well below the speed limit.

In this state you have to pull over to the next lane and slow down when an emergency vehicle is flashing or you are on the side of the road too......receiving a Ticket

What I hate is when you're on the freeway, and you've got two truckers... one going 74 mph, and another one going 75 mph. So of course the one going 75 wants to PASS the guy going 74. So he gets in the left lane and begins to pass. Does he speed up? Nope... he blods right along at 75. How long does it take him to pass at that speed? Oh... about 10 freaking minutes! And then of course he won't get back in the right side and proceeds to block the left lane for another 10 minutes to get a little more ahead of the 74 mph trucker. F'ing INSANE.

You should see people driving here in beantown. First of all, I don't think the term Right-Of-Way even exsists anymore. And right on red? PSSSH this is Boston, people do LEFT or UTURN on red. The speed limit is a suggestion and a roundabout is a death threat.

I'm one of those, but in this state of Pennsylvania if you don't slow down and be nosy, and at least get out to offer help, you get ticketed and license can be revoked. So it pays if you're not nosy! =)

I agree with all of that
I hate freaks at the pump. The people working at the local pump are complete morons too. They are sitting on a (potential) lake of fire with a few pumps between them and oblivion you'd think they would try to be careful. I have seen one of their poorly-maintained pumps leak out onto the floor (by another driver who didn't care) and went straight into the store to tell them. They ignore me as if i'm trying to cut in the queue or something, then finally they listen and begrudgingly send someone to cover the spill with something. It was only a small spill (like a couple of large cokes from McD's), but you get the point. Neither did they or their customers seem to care. I never went there again.

Guess what, they recently rebuilt the whole station including the tanks underground. Last night I heard the whole place blew up! OMFG. I'm glad I wasn't there at the time. Makes me mad that people don't take things seriously unless they are involved in something like this

Now about lane discipline. Jerks just sit in the fast lane because they are too lazy or stubborn to changle lanes and let someone pass. This drives me crazy. It is ridiculous but I often end up gaining a huge lead on everyone by undertaking them in the slow lane at a moderate speed because it is fricken empty :/ And truckers that block two lanes both going at 50 *arrrrrgggHHHHH**** I don't mess with truckers though. I have seen some of their tantrums and more than a few cases where they damn near kill anyone that tries to oppose them.

My family was long-distance truckers for a long-time. In fact, I had been to every lower 48 state in the U.S. by the time I was 5. So let me just throw in a little bit of trucker defense here.

Most people don't realize what it's like driving 40 tons of moving weight down an interstate at high speed (because you get paid only if you're on-time) and some Oblivion in their little Ford Escape SUV decides he needs to get over because he can't, God forbid, slow down and wait like the rest of us. Guys, the law may say we are all equal on the highways, but the Laws of Physics do not. And in the end, they are all that matter.

So please, cut the truckers some slack. They deal with idiotic car drivers, low pay, little sleep, and the same road-rage you do. And they do it all with 40 tons of cargo behind them.

Hey I got plenty of respect for truckers. Hell I'd probably BE one if the pay was better, I love driving. But do you REALLY have to try and pass the guy going 1 mph faster than you?

I didn't go 3 minutes without hearing a car honking at one thing or another. The driving there is TERRIBLE.

In Salem, we really don't have Red lights it seems. People will just blindly run red lights just for the fun of it I guess... Probably on too much meth.

My top vehicle peeves:

1. People who drive slowly in the fast lane.

2. Cars with "Baby on Board" signs

3. Cars with one of the following bumper stickers:

"My child is an honor student at Selfishbrat High School." -I prefer the one that says "My child beat the crap out of your honor student."

"Question Authority" -(sarcastically)Yeah. Like, I'm an independent thinker ... and I owe it all to some insipid bumper sticker I saw.

"AAA" -only because most cars with "AAA" bumper stickers are driven by persons too old to see straight

"Mean People Suck" -come on! I swear, I'm gonna get one that says "'You Suck!' - the Mean People"

4. People who don't signal before they're going to parallel park - You know, the ones that just slow down to a halt expecting the person behind them to read their mind.

5. People who think they're impressing others by peeling off when the light turns green.

6. People who think they're impressing others by playing their distorted music loud in a residential area.

7. People who have no clue about the right of way at a 4 way intersection

8. People who won't let you merge into their lane and feel the need to speed up as if they're gonna lose some "race"

9. I hate pedestrians who cross the street on a red light in front of moving vehicles just to make them stop

10. I hate tailgaters

Good post Xue Yi Liang!

The 4 way stop....why is that so hard to understand? In case of a TIE the person on the RIGHT wins....simple!

I am also a member of AAA. I never put on the sticker...and I have had a gold account for ten years....why? 100 mile free tow thats why...! Pays for it's self the first time you use it. I can be at work over 70 miles away from home and have my car towed back home to the shop "I" want to have my car fixed at!

I should add, I hate drivers of cars/SUVs that do crazy manoeuvers around trucks and cause them lots of problems because stopping 40 tons or swerving with 40 tons is damn hard and can lead to accidents (seen some really near misses that scared the hell out of me).

Shit I hate seeing/being behind

1. Handicapped Stickers/Plates-Self explanatory. If you can't WALK you
shouldn't be driving either. End of story.

2. Ribbons. All of them. I'm so sick of seeing these goddamn ribbons for
"Support _______!" They're ugly, tacky, and a surefire sign of a bad driver.

3. Okay. We get it.
You think SOAD is T3H AW3SUMZ!! MOVE YOUR ASS ALREADY.

4. Incredibly long winded/small fonted political/religious/etc bumper stickers.
If I have to get 2 feet away from your car to read your stickers, I'd better
laugh my ass off.

5. Pimp/Crunk rides. I hate these. (Read:HAETTTTTTTTTTT) Okay,
you think your shit is bumpin. You put a 1,000+ dollar stereo system in a
1967 Chevy Nova with peeling paint and Wal-Mart spinnaz. Yeah, you crunk.

6. ALL OF THE ABOVE.

People like these need to be shot. A lot.

Exactly! When I hear of roll-over accidents on the morning drive radio...it is always SUVs. They think because they have this big vehicle they can do anything...center of gravity is higher...but, they do not realize this. Having a AWD or a 4 wheel drive doesn't matter on ICE.

In all fairness not all Truckers are bad drivers. In my 50 years on this planet I have noticed that they are not the Knights of the Highway they once were either. I wish they would make a state law here in Michigan when there is bad weather Trucks have to stay in the right lane. They get out in the middle lane and blind the rest of us with snow or water. This is so rude. To have two trucks side by side kicking up snow, rain and water that is very dangerous. I do know that in most states(Michigan included) Truckers are suppose to stop and pick up the re-tread that falls off their tires. I have never seen one yet do this. These pieces of tread are nick-named "Gators", because when you hit one on the road at high speed they reach up and snap at your vehicle and do some surprisingly nasty damage. I hit one earlier this year....$800.00 to my Buick Lesabre.
